Two hours later and we\u2019d removed the top layer of turf, removed brambles and nettles, dug up and replanted bilberries \u2013 and uncovered a lot more quartzite! This work has reinforced our belief that these \u2018boulders\u2019 are actually just exposed parts of bedrock, and now we hope to clear more around this area and extend the outcrop of rock.
