\n14 members of the Woolhope club visited Loxter Ashbed Quarry on bank holiday Monday as part of a day spent in the Ledbury area. It was dry as we walked from the village hall, inspecting the old Post Office wall en route.

\nJohn Payne of the Woolhope Club had provided an overview of the area and Andy provided a more detailed description of the interesting aspects of the quarry itself. Unfortunately, the exploration was interrupted by the onset of rain. We were there long enough for the eagle eyed to spot a trilobite fossil on the main boulder.
