The Hadley Quarry lies within the garden of Bob and Heather Barningham. The following photos were taken during clearance work in 2009 – 2010, and show the part of the quarry which was being worked before it closed in the 1890’s. Clearance revealed the method of extraction which was used. The discovery of four inch wide cut grooves made by picks shows that they used the same method as the Egyptians when building the pyramids.
