Visit by Malvern U3A
On 26th March we had a visit from about 20 members of the Malvern U3A Geology group. They had braved the forecast of imminent rain and walked up from Colwall, taking in the views from Oyster Hill on the way.
The group arrived in bright sunshine, so were able to spend some time exploring the quarry and looking for fossils. There were some interesting discussions on the fossils as well as the structure of the area.
One of the changes of note has been the descent of several more boulders from the rock face. The Champions have been keeping an eye on several sections over the last year, and the persistent rain over the winter has done its work. Time will tell whether the rubble will produce any fossils.
